
Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how 1585113 B.C. Ltd. (doing business as “4Planet”) handles refunds for paid subscriptions and donations made through https://4planet.io. It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Policy covers (a) partner subscriptions billed by 4Planet through Stripe, and (b) donations routed through 4Planet to participating charities via Stripe Connect. Where consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides more generous rights than this Policy, those rights apply.
2. Subscription Refunds — 14-Day Window
We offer a 14-day refund window on partner subscriptions: if you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund of your first paid charge within 14 days of that charge. After the 14-day window has passed, subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in this Policy.
Cancelling a subscription after the 14-day window stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of the current period. You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of the period you have paid for.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your card issuer or bank but typically take 5–10 business days.
3. EU and UK Consumers — 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of starting it, for any reason, under Article 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive) and the corresponding UK regulations.
To exercise this right, send an unambiguous statement (by email to refunds@4planet.io) within the 14-day period. You may, but need not, use the model withdrawal form set out in Annex I(B) of the Directive.
If you expressly request that we begin providing the Service immediately and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the Service is fully performed, the right of withdrawal will not apply once we have fully performed the Service. Where you withdraw within the 14-day window but have begun using the Service, we may charge a proportionate amount for what you have already used.
4. Free Trial Conversion
If you start a free trial and cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged the recurring subscription price on the first day after the trial. Your 14-day refund window under Section 2 (and, if applicable, your EU/UK right of withdrawal under Section 3) begins from the date of that first charge.
5. Donations
Donations made through the Service are processed directly to the receiving charity’s Stripe Connect account; 4Planet does not hold or move donor funds. As a result, donations are non-refundable through 4Planet as a matter of policy. If you believe a donation was made in error or fraudulently, please contact the recipient charity in the first instance, and also notify us at refunds@4planet.io so we can assist with coordination.
Once a tax receipt has been issued by the recipient charity, refunds may have consequences for the validity of that receipt. Consult your tax advisor.
6. Errors, Duplicate Charges, and Disputes
If you notice a duplicate charge, an unauthorized charge, or a billing error, contact us at refunds@4planet.io within 60 days of the charge. We will investigate and, where the error is confirmed, refund the relevant amount regardless of the 14-day window above.
If you raise a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us, we may pause or suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. We prefer to resolve concerns directly — please write to us first.
7. How to Request a Refund
The fastest path is the self-serve billing page in your account dashboard, which cancels your subscription and lets you flag a refund request. You can also email refunds@4planet.io with:
- Your account email and the name on the subscription;
- The charge date and amount, or the Stripe receipt URL if you have it;
- A brief reason for the refund (we do not require detailed justification within the 14-day window).
We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued within 10 business days of approval.
8. Non-Excludable Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any non-excludable right or remedy you may have under the consumer protection laws of British Columbia, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction where such rights apply.
