Haiti Empowered has worked in the Léogâne region of southern Haiti since 2005. Its schools sit along Route 2, the main road across the south of the country, and teach from pre-kindergarten to grade 13. Its website counts more than 2,800 students.
The attendance sheets it publishes name the school sites: Pèmiyen, Cassange, Lomprè, Fauchè and Lafferonay. It is a Christian organization, and its website lists Bible education in the schools and partnerships with churches in the area.

Every student gets one meal a day. When school is not in session, students can collect food to take home in larger amounts, so the meal does not stop for the holidays.
They purchase in bulk and bring it to our warehouse where it is then separated and taken to the individual schools for use.
The monthly order is rice, beans, paste, legumes and whatever else local vendors have. In March 2026 the organization published its vendor receipts for food, including one for the high school and elementary school in Cassange.

Sign InAt the high school, the logistics are simple and physical. Its October 2025 record describes food "wheeled in using wheelbarrows and served out of hot pots to lines of students."

The trade school currently teaches sewing, tile work and plumbing. It has taught electrical work in the past, and its mission page says it hopes to add poultry management.
Haiti Empowered employs its own dentist, doctor, nurses and administrators, who run a clinic in Cassange. Care is free for students and their immediate families. Other people in the community can be seen for a small fee, which goes toward medication and supplies.
One of the clinic’s full-time administrators is Christella, a former student. In May 2026 the organization published her handwritten account, with a translation, of the illness and hardship she came through before taking on leadership roles in her church and in community health work.

In September 2025 its construction team put up a temporary classroom in Pèmiyen. The record says it was built "to stretch our financial resources and provide some shade for students."

Haiti Empowered reports its figures through Nexus Impacts, and 4Planet shows them with that source attached. In mid-September 2026 they included:
136,577 days of education completed by its students
127,609 meals
40,014 days of trade education
185 full-time Haitian employees
15 high school graduates
139 students on its first honor roll, for fall 2025
It also publishes a census of its full-time staff, most recently dated December 31, 2025. Some of its other figures, including trade school graduates, currently read zero. All of these are the organization’s own counts, and 4Planet does not audit them. The Primary & Secondary Education page shows current figures with their source.
Haiti Empowered was listed on 4Planet on August 29, 2026, as a Community Listed organization, with five missions: Primary & Secondary Education, the Food and Nutrition Program, the Trade School, Medical/Dental Care and Employment Opportunities.
They are tagged to Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-being, Quality Education and Decent Work and Economic Growth. Donations go to Haiti Empowered directly, through its page or at haitiempowered.org.
