Mbale Elephants Rugby Club is a community-based rugby organization in Mbale City, Eastern Uganda. The club uses sport as a platform for youth development, mentorship, physical well-being, life-skills training and community engagement. Beyond competitive rugby, we aim to create pathways through which young people can develop discipline, teamwork, leadership and resilience while gaining access to education, vocational skills, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities. Our community initiatives include rugby training and school outreach, youth mentorship, financial-literacy and livelihood programmes, health and fitness activities, and environmental and community-service campaigns. We are developing systems to measure participation, programme completion, training hours, beneficiary progress and the cost of delivering each outcome. Mbale Elephants is committed to transparent financial management, responsible partnerships and evidence-based reporting. We seek to work with donors, businesses and development partners to implement sustainable programmes that create opportunity rather than dependency and deliver verifiable, long-term benefits to young people and communities in Eastern Uganda.
