The Set Me Free Project's® READY to Stand Curriculum ® is designed to engage and empower participants. By offering fun and flexible programming for all groups, we believe that everyone can take a stand against human trafficking. Our curriculum is designed with a learner-centered approach, tailored to meet the needs of both adults and youth. We continually update our content to reflect the evolving trends in human trafficking, ensuring it remains relevant and effective.
I became aware of the “Set Me Free Project” through D***** C**** a Zion Recovery Prevention Specialist in our area. The project presented to each section of my classes. They presented on two different areas. They presented about the dangers of sex trafficking. They also presented on healthy relationships. The presenters were outstanding. Since we couldn’t have them in person because of Covid restrictions, they presented to us through Zoom. They held my students’ attention, gave them valuable information, and provided them with another connection for help whenever needed. Several of my students private messaged the presenters to start individual discussions and get help with difficult situations. We were also able to gain valuable information from one of the presenters who overcame difficult situations in her life to become successful. I have often used her story (Yolanda’s Story) to share with our children who have difficult life situations. It shows my kids that they can overcome anything. This is so important for all students, but even more so for my “at risk” kids who are growing up in poverty, drug addiction, and abuse. I am planning on utilizing the Set Me Free Project next school year for our students in Red Oak. I believe this project is outstanding, and I am so grateful that I was introduced to it this year. Sincerely, T*** V********* Student Support Coordinator Red Oak Community School District

Uganda
Mbale Elephants Rugby Club is a community-based rugby organization in Mbale City, Eastern Uganda. The club uses sport as a platform for youth development, mentorship, physical well-being, life-skills training and community engagement. Beyond competitive rugby, we aim to create pathways through which young people can develop discipline, teamwork, leadership and resilience while gaining access to education, vocational skills, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities. Our community initiatives include rugby training and school outreach, youth mentorship, financial-literacy and livelihood programmes, health and fitness activities, and environmental and community-service campaigns. We are developing systems to measure participation, programme completion, training hours, beneficiary progress and the cost of delivering each outcome. Mbale Elephants is committed to transparent financial management, responsible partnerships and evidence-based reporting. We seek to work with donors, businesses and development partners to implement sustainable programmes that create opportunity rather than dependency and deliver verifiable, long-term benefits to young people and communities in Eastern Uganda.
